first_imgAccording to the data of the eVisitor system, which contains tourist traffic realized in commercial and non-commercial facilities and nautical charter (eCrew system), in Croatia in the period  from January to the end of September, 18 million arrivals (+ 6%) and 100.8 million overnight stays (+ 4%) were realized. Out of that, foreign tourists realized 16.2 million arrivals (+ 5%) and 89.2 million overnight stays (+ 3%), while domestic tourists also recorded increases in arrivals by 8% and in overnight stays by 6%.  During the nine months, the highest number of overnight stays was realized in Istria (27.5 million), while in the Split-Dalmatia County 19 million overnight stays were realized, ie 18.3 million overnight stays in Kvarner. They are followed by Zadar County with 14 million overnight stays and Dubrovnik-Neretva County with 8.2 million overnight stays. 6.9 million overnight stays were realized in Šibenik-Knin County, 3.2 million overnight stays in Lika-Senj County, while 1.9 million overnight stays were realized in Zagreb. On the continent, not including Zagreb, there were 900.000 arrivals (+ 10%) and 1.8 million overnight stays (+ 12%), and looking at the counties, most overnight stays were realized in Karlovac (568.000), Krapina-Zagorje (266.000), Zagreb (160.000) ), Osijek-Baranja (148.000) and Međimurje County (147.000). At the national level, the highest number of overnight stays was recorded in Germany (20.3 million), Slovenia (10.2 million), Austria (7.4 million), Poland (6.2 million) and the Czech Republic (5.4 million), with the highest number of overnight stays. nights realized in  in households (37.1 million) and in hotels (22.6 million) and camps (18.6 million). The top destinations in the first nine months according to the criteria of realized overnight stays are Dubrovnik, Rovinj, Poreč, Medulin and Split. “We have positive trends at the level of the whole year, and this is supported by these statistics on arrivals and overnight stays, especially double-digit growth in the second half of September when the motive of arrival “sun and sea” no longer prevails, which is another confirmation that our country is a more recognizable destination with a diverse offer throughout the year.
