Called Starbucks Delivers, the service is designed to bring customers their Starbucks orders in the same way companies like Uber Eats and Door Dash deliver food. The company is eyeing six new markets in the United States, the first of which — following Miami — will be San Francisco.By this upcoming spring season, Starbucks Delivers will be available in a total of seven cities, including: Miami, San Francisco, Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles, New York, and Washington DC. The expansion will cover around a quarter of Starbucks stores in the US — ones operated by the company, that is. As with the Miami test, the new delivery markets will be serviced by Uber Eats, the platform that provides on-demand food deliveries in many parts of the US. This expansion joins a newly announced London pilot, where Starbucks will first offer deliveries in Europe. The London trial will start some time later this month.The service is provided via the Uber Eats mobile app, where customers can find their local Starbucks (assuming it is supported) and use it to order items from around 95-percent of the core Starbucks menu. This will include hot and cold drinks and other items, and will be joined by a $2.49 fee. If you’re craving a Starbucks coffee but don’t want to drive to the nearest store, you’ll soon have another option: Uber Eats. The ride-sharing company’s food delivery service previously teamed with Starbucks on a pilot to test coffee delivery in Miami. That test was apparently successful, as Starbucks has announced plans to expand its delivery to multiple major US cities.
