Prothom Alo File PhotoThe Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on Saturday slammed Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader for his comment that BNP will get split due to its internal conflict, reports UNB. Speaking at a press conference at BNP’s Naya Paltan central office, party senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, “Obaidul Quader is now very concerned over BNP as he is saying it may face split or meet the fate of Muslim League.””His affection for BNP is very strange,” he added. Rizvi claimed that there is no division within BNP as the party’s all leaders and activists remain united under the leadership of its chairperson Khaleda Zia and acting chairman Tarique Rahman. He said it is Awami League which has internally collapsed and weakened and with the divisions of different groups and streams. “That’s why the party couldn’t dare to hold a fair election depending on its leaders and activists. The party instead stuffed ballots in the dark of night using police.”The BNP leader warned that Awami League will not find any one to light a lamp at its office when it will lose the power of police.
