Galaxy Note 80 spotted in the wild ahead of MWC 2013 launch

first_imgSamsung already confirmed that the Galaxy Note 8.0 would be unveiled at Mobile World Congress next month, and now it’s been photographed in the hands of one lucky user. Unfortunately, while it was spotted out in the open no details about the tablet’s internals were revealed. What’s now clear is that Samsung has chosen to style the Galaxy Note 8.0 more like its smaller siblings than the 10-inch model. The bottom edge of the device features a physical home button flanked by two capacitive buttons. There’s a front-facing camera at the top, and it’s situated next to the requisite proximity and light sensors. In the lone shot that shows the back of the Galaxy Note 8.0, there doesn’t appear to be a flash next to its rear-facing camera. While the tablet photographed is white, it’s hard to imagine Samsung not offering additional color options like it does with the other Note devices.Rumored specs for the Galaxy Note 8.0 include (what else?) a 1.6GHz quad-core Exynos processor, 2GB of RAM, 1280 x 800 display, and a minimum of 16GB of internal storage. You can also count on it being thin and light — probably not Sony Xperia Tablet Z thin and light, but still pretty svelte. Battery life should be on par with the Tegra 3-powered Nexus 7 since the Galaxy Note 8.0 is said to pack a 4300mAh battery.More (translated)last_img read more
