Group B bottom team Algeria’s only point from the qualifiers was therefore achieved in Blida.Meanwhile, Rabah Madjer has been tipped to return to make drastic changes as Algeria coach for a fourth time with his first match being the dead-rubber 2018 World Cup qualifier against Nigeria.Madjer, who will be assisted by Djamel Menad, will be expected to effect a revolution in the national team as he has been against players who have played at age-grade levels for France.Interestingly, Algeria fought back to international reckoning after they capped at full international level many players who were born in France and even played for that country’s age-group teams.Madjer’s appointment is coming a fortnight after the Spaniard Lucas Alcaraz was fired following three losses in the World Cup qualifiers.Madjer, 58, has been considered ahead of another former international 41-year-old Djamel Belmadi. The former FC Porto Madjer last worked as a coach in 2006. As much as you wanted to whiten the defeat of Barça praising his football for 75 minutes as if the last fifteen were not part of the same game, the shot of Arabia was tremendous and leaves signaled starting with the coach. Valverde is usually the main source of Barça disasters. In Rome, in Liverpool, in the Cup final or in the match against Atlético de Madrid in Jeddah. It seems that Valverde is never responsible for victories and always for defeats. In Jeddah, of course, he also had his share. The Txingurri, after an excellent approach that his players captured with mastery, did not know how to anticipate the events and, since it is an old and legless team, he did not close the game in time. Installed on a pointless correcalles for their interests, Barça ended up losing. But if Valverde did not foresee the scene of the game, the management of Barça players was appalling in the last fifteen minutes. They were responsible to the same extent as the defeat coach. The most stripped by the round trip that the game became was Umtiti, who after having competed well came busted at the end of the clash. His careers behind the strikers of Atletico Madrid were grotesque. Umtiti came to the game with the possibility of claiming and winning a place in the eleven after the tremendous doubts that Lenglet, excessively soft, I was leaving in the last matches. But after an hour and a quarter of correct, intense game and making tactical mistakes (one of Lenglet’s ballasts) if the legs did not give him, he collapsed at the end. Spain Supercup* Data updated as of January 10, 2020 Something similar happened to Busquets, who played an academic game but pointed out the last minutes. He has always suffered when the games split and now, over the years, even more. It was in evidence, but his partners did not help him either. Especially Frenkie de Jong. After an excellent start to the season, the Dutchman is falling. Intranscending in the field, without any influence on decisive passes or on arrival, he also failed in what is supposed to be the best in the world. Impose themselves in the midfield that Atlético had abandoned. “They finished with two midfielders,” Valverde warned at the end of the game. But not even there was De Jong able to lead Barça. Neither circulating the ball, nor putting calm, nor breaking lines. He has lost confidence and hierarchy. Right now he is a waning player.
